If your child loves to be in front of the camera, there is a big chance that he or she is interested in having a career in TV, music, film and other related fields as an actor or singer. Be prepared to support your child in whatever endeavor he or she wants to participate in. Show business is not only a very difficult field to join in; it is also an industry rife with intrigues, deceit and failure so you really have to prepare your child on what to expect. We recommend that you make sure that your child knows the good and bad side of becoming a celebrity.

There are many ways in which your kid can enter TV, music, film and even theater industry. Just by encouraging your child to participate in auditions, you would really help make them aware of what it takes to become a star. You can also hone your child’s skills by enrolling them in dance, singing, modeling, acting or other lessons that will help improve their talents as well as confidence in performing in front of many people. Encouraging your kids to participate in school activities and programs will surely help a lot too.

The American Idol, America’s Got Talent, and other competitions that are created to showcase the hidden talents of people who live in the US are good venues for your child to be discovered by producers, advertising agencies, and other recruiters for TV, music, film and theater. Remember that Britney Spears, Jodie Foster, Drew Barrymore, and Justin Timberlake once started out as child stars who continued to be big celebrities even when they became adults.

Aside from careers in front of the camera or on stage, there are also TV, music, film and theater jobs that are lucrative even if they are mostly done behind the camera. Directing is one exciting career that your kid can also consider. Aside from being glamorous, directors are also an important part of making television programs, music videos, movies and theater productions a success.

The brains behind great movies, TV shows, and even commercials are producers. So, this is another good career behind the camera. Other job options in the glitzy and glamorous world of show business include props making, costume design, choreography, talent scouting, and even event promotions. For those who are interested in the technical stuff, there are also careers in animation, computer graphics, technical engineering, cinematography, dubbing, and many others.
